Phillip Brown And Graham Evans Receive Promotions At Bank Of The James

Lynchburg, Virginia – July 13, 2017 - At a recent Board of Directors meeting, the following employees received promotions.
Phillip Brown has been promoted to Vice President and Collections Manager. Mr. Brown began his banking career with Bank of the James in August 2001. Prior to joining Bank of the James, he was employed with Central Fidelity Bank for 24 years. His expertise is in the fields of bankruptcy law and collections. 
Mr. Brown received both bachelors and master degrees from Eastern Theological Seminary.  He currently serves on the board for the Business Development Center in Lynchburg and serves
as President of the Bedford County/Bedford City Voters League.  Active with the Bower Center in Bedford, Virginia, Mr. Brown currently holds the position as Treasurer.   
Graham Evans has been promoted to Vice President and Portfolio Manager I.  Mr. Evans began his Bank of the James career in April 2012.  He has served as a Teller, a Customer Service Representative, a Credit Specialist and since December 2015, he has held the title of Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager. 
Mr. Evans earned a BS degree in Business from Radford University.   He is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Lynchburg 43 offered through the Lynchburg Business Alliance.
