DESCRIPTION:Bedford Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be sponsored by Bower Center for the Arts on Thursday August 27\, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.  Because of ongoing construction\, the event will take place in the Terrace Gallery which is at the back of the building.  The Center is located at 305 North Bridge Street in Bedford.  For more information\, you may call (540)586-4235.   \n\n The theme of the evening will be "Explore Your Creative Side". Come make a mini masterpiece and trade with a business connection. You may want to bring additional business cards that evening.  \n\n\n	 Bower Center artists will display their work.\n	Come see us during construction and get a look at our future plans.\n	 Refreshments will be catered by Town Kitchen and Provisions and friends.\n	 Music by Karen Carter \n	Door prizes will be a pair of tickets to Bedford Finest Fare.  \n\nBower Center for the Arts is a non-profit art center located in Center Town Bedford.  As a gift to Bedford and in honor of his mother and father\, Dr. John Bower provided the money to purchase the building and now is funding its major renovation.  When complete the Center will once again be able to offer classes\, concerts\, arts camps and exhibits but in a much improved setting.   The building will actually look like an art center. \n\nBower Center brings many visitors to this area with our annual Cajun Crawfish Festival held in the spring and our second annual Bedford Finest Fare held each September.  This year's event which will be held on Sunday September 13th from 4 to 8pm features local chefs offering  a sampling of mouth-watering gourmet appetizers\, entrees\, and desserts featuring locally-grown and raised meats\, fish and produce from throughout Bedford County and several regional producers. An array of beverages will include beer from Apocalypse Ale Works and local wines. Local favorite New Standard Bluegrass will entertain you with their wonderful live music.
