SUMMARY:2022 Knowledge at Noon - Making Meaningful Meetings: A Back Door to Burnout Prevention
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed to have an impact at both the individual and organizational level: participants will learn to design meetings with impact\,  create movement on their organization's goals\, meaningful engagement for staff\, and margin on everyone's calendars. \n\n\n\nPlease bring a recent copy of your meeting minutes! You'll have the opportunity to "audit" the meeting & find opportunities to re-think how you approach it. \n\n\n\nGuest speaker\, Amanda Stanley\, grew up in Bedford\, the daughter of a Montvale man and a Lynchburg lady\, settling here in the second grade after her father retired from the Air Force. She graduated from Liberty High School and returned here to live and work after she completed college and graduate school. After working in government human services\, private consulting\, and most recently as President and CEO of DePaul Community Resources\, Amanda recently launched a new business\, The Artisan Leader\, where she provides coaching\, consulting\, and teaching to organizations to help them design their tomorrows with care. Her favorite work is helping organizations create cultures where people\, visions\, and ideas can grow\; and working one-on-one with leaders to help them push past what they perceive to be their limits. Integrating the arts into her work\, she hopes to infuse creativity\, compassion\, and courage into the C-suite.\n\n \n\nAmanda is a recent member of the Bedford Chamber. Amanda has served on lots of boards including Centra Health\, Centra Bedford Memorial\, the Virginia Nonprofit Leadership Council\, and was a governor-appointed member of the State Executive Council for Children's services. However: Amanda is proud to say she has dropped out of all of these after-hours commitments to make room for the things she was missing in life: more time with her family\, and more time to create.
