Join me for what may be my most important leadership conversation to date.
Can we talk about how leaders lead through crisis? It is not a stretch to say that we are right in the middle of a global crisis. As leaders, we are forced to make some of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make in our lives.
But my friend, there is hope. All crises are opportunities to lead. This is when your ability to lead in the moment is tested the most.
Sometimes, you have to lead your people through uncertainty. And as a leader, that means you have to be the rock in frightening times.
Over my decades of leadership experience, through organizations large and small, I’ve encountered my fair share of frightening times, either for the organization itself or for the world at large. Let me be the first to tell you, leaders feel fear too. We’re not bulletproof; we’re human like everyone else. And as leaders, we also understand that we have the responsibility to lead.
Great leadership stands out in times of crisis because great leaders have prepared themselves for the moment. Their voice is one that responds, not reacts.
This Sunday, March 22 through Tuesday, March 24 at 12:00pm (Eastern) daily, I will be holding a virtual leadership summit that includes a series of live teachings on the topic of Leading Through Crisis.
I invite you to join me for one hour each day during the summit and let’s learn together how to lead yourself and others through, not just today’s crisis, but any challenge you may face in the future.
I believe we will get through this and we will be better for it.
Your friend,
John C. Maxwell
