Sales & Business Development Executive

Reports:  Directly to the President/CEO
Position:  Part Time, approximately 20 hours per week

Position Objective and Purpose:  The primary responsibility of the Sales and Business Development Executive will be to develop relationships for new business and focus on the retention of existing members and the development of sponsorships for events and programs through personal contact with members and potential members.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Chamber President/CEO to establish and carry out a plan of personal contact for new members and potential members.
  • Sales goal of 10 members per month.
  • Evaluates and recommends new member benefits to President/CEO.
  • Coordinate, manage, track, and evaluate all membership and renewal activities including new member, renewal, and potential member mailings.
  • Recommends member surveys to increase member awareness of member needs and benefits.
  • Schedule and coordinate ribbon cuttings/ground breakings/open houses.
  • Generates membership reports, as required.
  • Generates sponsorships for every event and program and receives commission on sponsorships.
  • Other duties as assigned with a flexible schedule.
  • Increases awareness of member benefits and holds informational webinars with members to keep them informed on all eligible benefits and opportunities.
  • Serves on the Ambassador Committee.
  • Attends Networking Events.
  • % of Retention calls weekly for members to engage their benefits.
  • Work on AR list for past members with commission paid.
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Flexible, multi-tasker who works well as a team player.
  • Ability to apply popular computer applications including Microsoft Office and Excel and the ability to learn Chamber Master.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
