2024 Career Readiness & Community Resources Event
Need helping landing a job?
Come by the Bedford Central Library on March 6 from 10AM-2PM!
We will have three career prep sessions featuring resume writing and review, elevator pitch building, and mock interviews. No registration is necessary! These sessions will be held at the following times:
- 10AM - 11AM
- 11:15AM - 12:15PM
- 12:45PM - 1:45PM
We will also have:
- Childcare provided by the Bedford County Department of Social Services, who will also be conducting interviews for childcare subsidy assistance
- Free printing for resumes
- A professional clothing closet (with additional clothing vouchers!)
The following organizations will also be in attendance to provide information and assistance:
- Enroll VA
- Virginia Career Works
- Bedford County Department of Social Services
- Lake Christian Ministries
- Department of Aging & Rehabilitative Services
- Good Samaritan Hospice
- Bedford Ride
- Virginia Employment Commission
The library will also be offering a free Rock-A-Bye Reader lap-sit program for babies ages 0-36 months from 10:30AM to 11AM. Come join us for rhymes, music, movement, stories, free play, and parenting resources. RSVP here.
