Wheeler Media, founded in Roanoke in 1973 by Mel Wheeler, is home to the top radio stations in the Roanoke/Lynchburg market and is a privately, locally owned business. Our radio stations include: WSLC-Star Country 94.9, WXLK-K92, WSLQ-Q99, WVBE-The Vibe, WFIR, WZZU-The Rock Channel and WPLY. Our stations have won numerous broadcasting awards and consistently rank in the top 5 Nielsen ratings. In 2016, Wheeler Media expanded into digital marketing with our own locally based digital team and we offer a wide variety of digital products ranging from online behavioral marketing to fully produced digital videos.
